A basic analogy for understanding how DTS works would be with Bear species.  The Polar bear, North American Brown Bear and Panda Bear are all part of the same species, but due to many reasons eat different diets and are in our opinion, different “types”.

The Polar Bear is a DTS Fat Burner Type, they eat a high fat diet mostly from meat but also a small amount of vegetation & berries when available.

The Brown Bear is a DTS Mixed Burner Type, they eat equal proportions of  fat, protein & carbs from meat and vegetation.

The Panda Bear is a DTS Sugar Burner Type, they eat 99 % from plants & and an occasional rodent.

Humans are obviously different than bears but this example shows the individuality of dietary needs even within the same species, just like us.
